I grew up with an awesome stepdad who invested in me and my sister as deeply as he did his own son. He was about the best dad a kid could have. Often we hear about disconnected stepparents who don’t ever connect deeply with their spouse’s children.

So when I see someone showing appreciation towards a stepparent, and then I see the love between them, I cannot help but share it. If you have an awesome adult in your life that isn’t a birth parent, but loves you like they are, make sure to let them know how much you appreciate them.
